Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions govern the use of the RAM TOURS / Madeira Island Tours website and the way information requests, bookings, tours, transfers, and related services are handled.
1. Use of the website
The website is intended to present tourism services and collect contact requests, booking requests, and commercial information related to tours, transfers, and experiences in Madeira.
By using this website, the user agrees to provide truthful information, not to use the service for unlawful purposes, and not to engage in behavior that disrupts the normal operation of the site.
2. Requests, bookings, and confirmation
Submitting a form, contact request, quotation request, or booking request does not guarantee automatic confirmation of the service.
A booking should only be considered confirmed after explicit confirmation from the operation, availability validation, and, where applicable, agreement on conditions, price, date, pickup point, and other relevant details.
3. Prices, changes, and availability
Service availability depends on operational confirmation. Prices, itineraries, schedules, pickup points, duration, and conditions may vary depending on season, number of participants, logistical constraints, or specific request requirements.
Whenever necessary, the operation may propose reasonable adjustments to the requested service, including changes to timing, route, meeting point, or an equivalent alternative, especially for operational, weather, or safety reasons.
4. Conduct, safety, and operational conditions
Participants must follow the instructions of the guide or driver and comply with the safety requirements applicable to the vehicle, route, and contracted activity.
The operation may refuse, interrupt, or limit the participation of any person whose behavior endangers safety, the integrity of the group, the vehicle, third parties, or the normal execution of the service.
- Certain experiences may be shared with other guests unless expressly agreed otherwise at the time of booking.
- Participation in off-road or uneven-terrain tours is not recommended for people with reduced mobility, back problems, incompatible physical conditions, or pregnancy unless prior suitability is confirmed with the operation.
- Large suitcases or bulky luggage are not permitted unless previously agreed and operationally confirmed.
- The starting point and final drop-off point may differ depending on the route, agreed logistics, and the type of experience booked.
5. Image use, content, and intellectual property
Unless otherwise stated, the content of the website, including texts, branding, visual structure, design, images, and graphic elements, may not be copied, reproduced, or reused for commercial purposes without authorization.
During the provision of the service, photographs, video, audio, or other recordings may be captured for documentation, communication, promotional, or advertising purposes.
By participating in the experience, the customer accepts this possibility unless they inform us in advance that they do not authorize the use of their image or voice for those purposes.
6. Limitation of liability
We make reasonable efforts to keep website information accurate and up to date, but we do not guarantee the total absence of errors, temporary unavailability, or occasional omissions.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for temporary website interruptions, third-party technical failures, or unavoidable operational changes caused by safety, weather, traffic, authorities, or other factors beyond the reasonable control of the operation.
7. Governing law
These Terms and Conditions are subject to the applicable laws of Portugal.
Where relevant, legal rules relating to civil and contractual matters, consumer protection, distance contracting, data protection, and any other legal regimes applicable to the service concerned may also apply.
