Cancellation and Refunds

This policy describes the general rules applicable to cancellations, changes, no-shows, rescheduling, and any refunds related to tours, transfers, and services provided by RAM TOURS / Madeira Island Tours.

Updated on 2026-04-03

1. Customer cancellations

If you need to cancel or change a booking, you should notify the operation as early as possible.

The possibility of a cost-free cancellation, rescheduling, future credit, or refund may depend on the type of service, notice period, season, logistics already committed, and the conditions confirmed at the time of booking.

2. Cancellation or changes by the operator

The operation may cancel, postpone, or adjust a service for safety reasons, adverse weather conditions, operational unavailability, mechanical issues, access restrictions, authority instructions, or other relevant factors beyond the reasonable control of the team.

When this happens, we will seek to offer a new date, an alternative solution, or an equivalent option whenever reasonably possible.

3. No-show

If the customer does not attend at the agreed place and time without adequate prior notice, the service may be treated as a no-show or operationally fulfilled, and a refund may not be due.

The specific assessment will depend on the context, notice given, ability to make contact, and the nature of the booked service.

4. Refunds

When a refund is applicable, it will be processed through the original payment method or another method agreed between the parties, within a reasonable timeframe compatible with the operation and the payment method used.

Not all cancellations automatically give rise to a full refund. The outcome depends on the communicated conditions and the specific booking circumstances.

5. Clarifying terms before booking

We recommend clarifying any questions about cancellations, rescheduling, deposits, payments, or special conditions before the booking is confirmed.
